Third baseman Eric Chavez smashed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Santa Fe
Trailer Bitches destroyed the Chainsaw Proctologists by a score of 30 to 9 at
the ballpark.
Chavez punished Chainsaw with his bat. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in
the 1st inning, lined a single plating two runs in the 4th inning and smacked
a three-run homer (his 24th of the season) in the 7th inning. Santa Fe bats
were very productive in the 1st inning which saw them plate 11 runs on 8 hits
and the 7th inning with 6 runs on 4 hits. Offensively, Santa Fe was a
juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.
Steve Trachsel(10-4) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Josh Towers(5-6) was hit with the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in
2/3 of an inning of work.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Chavez said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
